Science News~
Heyy!! We're back for new news update! We are lucky to have Jocelyn and Poh Im here for their comments on the problem of obesity. So what would be the main reason for that? Let's take a look,(Click on heading for link)
Our Comments:
Jocelyn: I think we should all stay healthy and exercise regularly as "Health is Wealth"!
Poh Im: People should stop eating so much junk food and start keeping fit. (=
Vinni: Obesity epidemic has started at 1982 already and has been a nuisance. So people! Get your butts off the couch and adopt a healthy lifestyle!

Hey peeps! It's been weeks since we've updated our blog, yeah? It's because our members were all so busy with their own schedule. However, we've decided we should put aside some time to update our blog for our loyal readers! (Although there is only one person commenting here) Hence,

1. a cellular structure that is postulated to exist in order to mediate between a chemical agent that acts on nervous tissue and the physiological response
2. an organ having nerve endings (in the skin or viscera or eye or ear or nose or mouth) that respond to stimulation.
Comment:
Vinni: Though we know that damaged protein accumulates in our body as we grow older, but we do not know if it has caused functional decline of our organs. Hence, Cuervo explains that finding a drug that stops the existing receptor proteins breaking down could have the same effect as the ones tested on the livers of young normal mice.

Hey! Long time since we last posted, enjoyed your holidays? We sure hope you will! Anyway, as usual, Jocelyn is busy. PohIm and Hannah aren't around either. So it would be me and May doing the comments. (Click on the heading for link)

Vinni: It is good that the technology has been advancing well and even old newspaper could be worth it's weight in gold. So, hang on your old newspapers! (:(Though it's currently taking place in Japan!)
May: I find that it's unbelievable as even old newspapers can recover gold and other precious metals from industrial waste metal solutions.

Hey there! Its been a LONG time since we last posted . PohIm and Jocelyn are busy right now so it will only be me today who will give the comment . Anyway, now that we have heard the recent magnitude-7.9 earthquake have hit south-western Chinese province of Sichuan, we have decided to provide the news on it . So,(Click on the heading for link)

Vinni: Due to the recent earthquake that happened in China, dams and nuclear reactors are built to higher standards . The earthquake have been so strong that 80% of the Sichuan's buildings have collapsed .

INTER CLASS COMPETITION [13 May 2oo8] ;BUILDING THE STRONGEST BRIDGE CHALLENGEThe goal of the competition is to design the strongest possible bridge using only satay sticks and straws.Students will be in groups of 4s, and each group will be participating in the competition.

Scientists on drugs to boost brain power
Our Comments:
Jocelyn: Well, I think this drugs are very cool. However, it has side-effects and I would not risk my life for it.
Vinni: The younger the people are, the more temptations made to eat drugs. Since the article stated, "More than half the respondents were 35 years old or younger." .
Poh Im: People should not take too much of the drug even there is mild side-effect.
Hannah: I think it is normal for people to take drugs especially for this advanced generation where brain power is needed.

Vinni: It is stated that lunglessness is extremely rare and really, unbelievable that they can stay alive.
